As a RISD diversity fellow, designer Rene Payne is contributing her wide-ranging talents by supporting a number of Social Equity and Inclusion initiatives at RISD, including developing collateral for the Martin Luther King, Jr. series and designing an award-winning, large-format book to share the visual stories generated through the longstanding RISDiversity community narratives project. In addition to her work at RISD, she is the founder and director of graphic design firm FAVOR. She has worked in the field of design for more than 25 years, holding creative and executive positions at leading advertising in-house design groups such as Heller Breene, Cipriani Kremer Design and Arnold Worldwide. Her experience in corporate identity and marketing communication strategy has helped her clients present messaging that is fresh, compelling and highly effective. Payne is the recipient of numerous design awards. She earned her BFA in Graphic Design from RISD.
