Stefanie Sevcik

Stefanie Sevcik’s work focuses on the 20th-century literature and history of Europe, the Middle East and Africa. In particular, she is interested in the the functions of literature in the context of oppression. Her most recent project compares representations of women in apartheid South Africa with Algeria’s war for independence from France.
