Ziying Tang

Ziying Tang is a visiting scholar in Landscape Architecture. As the founder and design director of Z+T Studio in China, she oversaw landscape projects of different sizes, including urban plaza renovations, parks, playgrounds, waterfronts and quarry site restoration. Her work was recognized with numerous national and international awards, including the ASLA Honor Awards. Z+T Studio is a landscape design atelier, an art workshop and a biophilic lab bringing together design professionals, fabricators, horticultural specialists and ecologists. Its collaborative, multidisciplinary structure inspires innovative and cutting-edge design ideas while maintaining a hands-on approach and a commitment to each project.

Tang earned a master’s in human geography from Peking University in China and an MLA from University of Massachusetts, Amherst. Before launching Z+T, she worked for the award-winning Stephen Stimson Associates in Cambridge, MA and Martha Schwartz, Inc. in Boston.
