Rob Hult

Robert Hult is an artist, art gallerist, and educator based in Brooklyn, NY. His pseudonymous studio practice focuses on drawing and printmaking. His work has been exhibited at galleries and institutions including the Walker Art Center, Minneapolis; the International Print Center of New York; the Museum of Contemporary Art Tucson; the Pizzuti Collection of the Columbus Museum of Art and the Akron Museum of Art in Ohio; the FLAG Art Foundation, New York; and the Landesgalerie Linz, in Austria. 

His work has been reviewed in The New York Times, ArtForum, and The Brooklyn Rail and is housed in public collections including the Whitney Museum of American Art, New York; the RISD Museum, Providence, RI; Spencer Museum of Art, Lawrence, KS;  and the New York Public Library. He is a 2010 recipient of the Pollock-Krasner Fellowship.

Hult is a partner in Klaus von Nichtssagend Gallery, a contemporary art gallery in New York he co-founded in 2004, and has co-curated over 200 exhibitions with 300+ artists at the gallery and at art fairs internationally. A 2001 graduate of RISD with a BFA and concentration in art history, he has taught at the school since 2011.
