Suzanne Pugh

Suzanne Pugh is a metalsmith and educator whose practice hovers between the ornamental and the utilitarian, the intimate and the architectural. Born and raised in Atlanta, Suzanne studied metalsmithing and jewelry at The University of Georgia (BFA) and Kansas State University (MFA). She has lived and worked as a metalsmith in New York, NY; Penland, NC; San Francisco, CA; and now Wendell, MA, where she continues to explore how structure becomes metaphor.

Her work has been included in exhibitions nationally and internationally, including at the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; Velvet da Vinci Gallery in San Francisco; and Sienna Patti Gallery in Lenox, MA. Her recent work, Stumps of New England, and Special Guests! was shown at the 249A Street Gallery in Boston. Suzanne’s work has been included in numerous books including The Penland Book of Jewelry (Lark Crafts, 2011) and Chasing and Repoussé by Nancy Megan Corwin.
