AnneMarie Torresen

AnneMarie Torresen (she/they) graduated from RISD’s Digital + Media department in 2026. Previously, she worked as a developer for WolframAlpha.com and as a high school math teacher in Houston, TX.
In addition to an MFA from RISD, she holds an MA in teaching from the Relay Graduate School of Education and a BS in mathematics with a minor in Afro-American and African Studies from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She writes in English and French.
In her work, AnneMarie explores overlaps between the expressive and the mathematical from a variety of entry points, including poetry, music, code, textiles, puzzles, and teaching.
