Matt Williams

Matt Camille Anderson Williams is an artist, illustrator, author, and educator based in Providence after living in Brooklyn for 20 years. His practice spans editorial illustration, publishing, painting, and visual storytelling and is informed by seven years of professional experience as a footwear designer. His work has appeared in publications including The New York Times, The New Yorker, British Vogue, The Atlantic, and Penguin Random House. Prior to joining RISD, he taught at Pratt Institute, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and the Maryland Institute College of Art. He holds an MFA in Illustration as Visual Essay from the School of Visual Arts and a BFA in Industrial Design from Pratt Institute.
