Co-Works Research Lab

Co-Works Research Lab is RISD’s learning center and curricular incubator for hands-on art and design research using interdisciplinary technologies. Situated within Academic and Creative Partnerships, the research lab’s programs include:

  • peer tutoring, equipment training and other co-curricular programs open to all RISD students, staff and faculty.
  • development of interdisciplinary, experimental and cross-departmental RISD courses.
  • support of Strategic Partnerships’ sponsored studios in collaboration with industry partners.

To schedule a peer tutoring or training appointment, call us during lab open hours. Hours vary by semester and are reduced during crit week. The lab is closed during holidays and academic-year breaks.
