In Photography we encourage original thinking, self-expression and visualization, while teaching students the skills of photographic seeing, production and presentation. Our degree program curricula rigorously support a broad understanding of the role photography plays in contemporary culture and its relationship to the history of the medium, as well as its future within the context of contemporary media and technologies. The photograph is both object and idea, able to manifest itself as print, book, data and space.
