The elected RISD Staff Council fosters a spirit of unified community, advocates for a working environment that enables all staff members at RISD to reach their full potential, and serves as a conduit for the exchange of information between RISD staff and Senior Administrators.
The RISD Staff Council will:
- provide a forum to discuss the needs, concerns, and interests of all RISD staff members.
- promote a positive and collaborative work environment
- facilitate open communication between the staff and all members of the RISD community
- participate in RISDʼs system of shared governance at all levels
- engage the RISD community to assist those in need
- propose policies to promote staff development and general welfare
