Julia Chien is a Taiwanese-American filmmaker, animator, and puppeteer based in Brooklyn. Her film and performance work revolve around lowly animals struggling with change. Julia is interested in the conversation between different mediums and seeing where they confront or marry.
Julia holds a BFA from RISD in Film/Animation/Video. Her mixed-media films have screened internationally at festivals such as Animafest Zagreb, Sweaty Eyeballs, and Animation Block Party.
