As the holiday shopping season heats up, people looking for RISD-designed gifts and products can find a new selection of work and pick up art supplies under one roof—in the newly remodeled RISD Store at 30 North Main Street.

Since the RISD WORKS shop closed in the Chace Center across the street, a selection of both handmade objects and well-designed products by RISD alumni and faculty members is now featured throughout the RISD Store.

Shoppers can find everything from colorful glass bowls to whimsical jewelry to limited-edition prints and works on paper.

Two alumni contributed to the effort to help refresh the look of the store while also incorporating the RISD Alumni Collection into the mix of products on display.

Marla Whitford 85 IL, a senior designer for retail chain Talbots, reconfigured the layout for maximum efficiency, and accomplished woodworker Nick Hollibaugh MFA 03 FD designed many of the new display cases.
