Sadie Levine
POD Saturday Portfolio Teaching Artist
Sadie Levine is an illustrator and arts educator currently based in Providence. She holds an MFA in Illustration from RISD, a BSc in Psychology, and a BEd in Primary/Junior Education. Through artist books, comics, and handmade toys, Sadie explores techniques for visually representing imagined fantasy, examining the intersection between psychology, art, and play.
Sadie has worked as an editorial illustrator and has made many zines and a few children’s books. Her work has been published across Canada and the US, including in Crucial Comix, MUSE Magazine, and WIREs Cognitive Science Journal. She is the recipient of the Grand Purchase Prize from the 10th Baker & Whitehill Student Artist’s Book Contest.
