Sadie Levine
POD Saturday Portfolio Teaching Artist
Sadie Levine is a Toronto-born cartoonist, illustrator, and educator. With a practice spanning hand-drawn memoir comics, soft toys, and illustrated artists’ products, Sadie explores the magic and the danger of fantastical thinking, exposing our inner strangeness.
A graduate of RISD’s Illustration MFA program, she has exhibited across North America, including at the Toronto Comic Arts Festival (TCAF) and the Small Press Expo (SPX). Her comics appear in The New Yorker and have earned her a Massachusetts Independent Comic Expo (MICE) Mini-Grant and recognition from The Center for Cartoon Studies (CCS) Cartoonist Studio Prize. Sadie is currently developing her debut graphic novel.
