Sasha Krieger

Arthur Loeb Design Science Teaching Collection & Archive Fellow

Sasha Krieger is an artist and librarian from Vancouver, BC. In both her creative practice and her work as a librarian, she explores intersections of art and information. She earned an MFA from the California College of the Arts and an MLIS from the University of British Columbia iSchool. Her work is not medium specific, but rooted in inquiry into what it means to be an artist. She creates work referencing representations of creativity in film, history, and literature, exploring how meaning is derived from how we learn about art. She has continued this line of inquiry into her practice as an information professional, researching how users experience information in both physical and digital spaces and exploring the radical potential of non-hierarchical forms of information organization. During the past 15 years, she has exhibited work in Vancouver, BC; San Francisco CA; Atlanta, GA; Denver, CO; and Reykjavik, Iceland.
