Madeline Pelgrim
Madeline Pelgrim is a cognitive scientist with a passion for teaching and learning. She is currently a PhD candidate at Brown University, where she previously earned her master’s degree in cognitive science. She will be teaching Cognitive Psychology in spring 2026. Madeline’s classroom is an active and engaged place, and she focuses on meeting students where they are and providing opportunities for interdisciplinary scholarship. Madeline completed her bachelor’s in biology and psychology at the University of Toronto, and her research has focused on social learning across species. She has also engaged in pedagogical research, exploring how classroom formats can impact student engagement and learning outcomes. Outside of the classroom, Madeline can be found hiking, reading, baking, and hanging out with her pets.
