Wennie Jian

Lecturer

Wen (or Wennie) Jian is currently a fourth-year doctoral student in cognitive science at Brown University. She is teaching Introduction to Cognitive Neuroscience in fall 2025. She is passionate about helping students learn and grow through inquiry, collaboration, creation, and expression. Her research focuses on the cognitive and neural mechanisms of how the arousal system plays a role in memory processes. She also studies age-related cognitive changes using behavioral and physiological measures. In her free time, she enjoys ballet and classical Chinese dances with other Brown and RISD students, traveling and exploring places, and good food.
