Greta Methot
Greta Methot joined RISD’s English department in 2004. Her research and teaching interests derive from many areas of American literature and culture, including African American literature, travel writing, critical race studies, violence studies and documentary film. Her courses at RISD reflect this range of interests: Looking at Violence in American Culture, Rockumentary, Postwar American Literature: Narrating Counterculture, and Travel Writing: American Road Trip. She also teaches courses in American realism and African American literature at the University of Rhode Island.
