Federal Direct student loan interest will resume on September 1, 2023 for students in repayment, and payments will begin October 2023. Exit counseling
All federal loan borrowers must complete exit counseling upon leaving school or if you drop below half-time enrollment.
You may complete this online requirement through Federal Student Aid. Every spring we offer online and in-person sessions to help students understand the exit counseling requirement.
A recording of our 2024 Federal Loan exit counseling webinar is available upon request. This SFS-hosted webinar will walk you through the mandatory exit counseling process for all students who borrowed federal loans while at RISD.
